Class Etiquette

Please maintain a quiet and respectful demeanor in the lobby while classes are in session. Dancers should arrive at least five minutes prior to class and parents are asked to assist younger students in using the restroom prior to class.

Restrooms are available for females and males on the same level as the studios. Restrooms will also serve as changing areas. These spaces are limited in size. Dancers may wish to consider underdressing to avoid congestion in the restroom areas. There is a storage area for dancers' belongings and coats.

Please do not bring food or drink into the building. Water bottles with spill proof caps are encouraged for dancers taking classes for 90 minutes or longer.

Hanging on the barres cannot be tolerated. This activity can easily result in injuries to dancers, as well as damage to the walls and floors.

We invite parents and siblings to use the lovely waiting area. Out of consideration for those in class or in meetings, particularly in the West Studio, we ask that you remain as quiet as possible once in the building.

For the safety and security of all, we ask that parents come inside the building to pick-up children under the age of 16.

Students and parents are asked not to enter the kitchen or basement areas of The Carnegie Center.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
