Policies

Registration Fee
Registration fee $25 per family/individual for the fall/spring semesters. Separate registration fee for summer programs.

Family Discount
Families with three or more full-time dancers enrolled in classes are eligible for a 10% tuition discount based on total tuition plus registration fee. The family discount does not apply to pro-rated tuition.

Full-Time College Student and Professional Dancer Rate
Full-time college students and professional dancers (active) may pay at a $10 per class rate.

Tuition
Full tuition is due by the first class of the semester. Dancers taking more than one class per week or families with multiple students may pay in two equal installments: 50% of tuition at the first class and the balance by mid-semester. Dancers will be invoiced for balance due. Let us know if you require adjusted tuition payments.

Pro-rated Tuition
Full-time dancers enrolled following the fourth week of the semester are eligible for pro-rated tuition.

Refund and Make-up
Refunds will be issued in the event of documented injury or relocation outside the Cincinnati area. A $20 processing fee applies to tuition refunds. Make-up classes are encouraged and must be taken during the current semester. No tuition or make-up classes may be carried-over to the next semester.

Discontinue Taking Classes
Please notify us in writing if you decide to discontinue classes after Fall Semester. We assume that you or your child is registered for the Fall and Spring Semesters. You will remain on our class roster and be billed accordingly unless we are notified otherwise.

Shoes
Dancers consistently forgetting ballet slippers will be asked to watch class. Providing students with slippers, especially when arriving late, takes away valuable class time.

Tardiness
To keep class interruptions to a minimum, students arriving more than ten minutes late may be asked to observe class.

Absences
Please phone (513-520-2334) prior to class if you are unable to attend. We appreciate your assistance in contacting us in advance

Parent Observation
Parents are invited to observe their child's class once per semester during scheduled observation weeks. The dates will be publicized in advance.

Class Cancellation
Classes may be added or canceled based on enrollment. Dancers will be contacted in writing prior to class cancellation and every effort will be made to move the student into an appropriate class.

Snow Cancellation
Ballet Theatre Midwest follows the Cincinnati Public Schools closing policy. If bad weather develops during the day that necessitates canceling classes, students will be reached by phone and email. Students are encouraged to make-up classes missed due to inclement weather.
